Volunteer

Our greatest opportunity is for people who would like to help move the furniture. We would like to schedule pickups and deliveries at least once a month on a rotational basis among the teams at each faith congregation. Usually this would require any individual to commit to no more than four times a year.  If you would like to make yourself available, please contact one of the member Faith Communities or send an e-mail to Interfaith Furnishings.

In addition, we need helpers to inventory and adjust inventory as needed; to communicate with social service agencies; and to make calls to those donating items to determine location of the goods and an efficient pickup route.  If you would like to help with the coordination of pick ups and deliveries, please send us an e-mail.

Storage

We are grateful to an anonymous donor for providing storage at 219 Quaker Church Road. Their generosity has permitted us to continue this mission project. If you are able to provide us with additional storage we could expand the amount of furnishings we have available.  If you would like to volunteer to provide storage please contact Interfaith Furnishings by e-mail.

Transportation

We have a truck, thanks to Jay Trevorrow who generously donated it and Catholic Charities who took ownership and is providing insurance, licensing and registration.  The truck is parked at Resurrection Parish and is available to all of our participating churches for their charitable needs.  Thank you, Jay, and thank you Joe Duffy at Catholic Charities.  Maintenance of the truck is the responsibility of Interfaith Furnishings. We are always looking for people who will be available to help us make pickup's and deliveries. Contact one of our Faith Communities or send us an e-mail
